Our Story

"Training the stars of the future"

Formerly, CHB School of Performing arts which has been established for over 30 years, Legacy has been formed by alumni students to continue the great work and foundations of CHB has built.

 

We train students to a high standards, ensuring the children who attend our school into outstanding performers, with confidence and self-belief, whilst having lots of fun at the same time.

Past students have gone on to study at the UK's leading full-time stage schools including; The Urdang Academy, London Studio Centre and many more. Students have also secured roles in leading professional shows in the West End and on tour, including 'Mowtown', Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and most recently 'The Stranger Things' UK Tour. Many students have also performed on screen and radio for national campaigns.

Meet the Team

We have a range of qualified teachers, all who have been through performing arts training themselves and have a range of industry experiences. All teachers were past students of CHB Performing Arts and received incredible training from young.

Amy

Master of Arts Acting / BA (Hons) Performing Arts / UKA Musical Theatre Teacher

Amy is very proud to be the Principal and owner of Legacy School Of Performing Arts after attending its founder school CHB Performing Arts from the age of 3-18. After her training at CHB, Amy then went on to Achieve a First Class BA Hons Degree in Performing Arts from the University of Gloucestershire before later going on to attend drama school. Amy then achieved a First Class Masters of Arts Degree in Acting from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire before embarking on her professional career as a performer along side her work as a Theatre Practitioner.

 

Some of her professional credits include New Musical- One For Sorrow, Anansewa- Spider woman (Tour) and The Amazing Flower challenge (Tour). Amy also owns her own Theatre company and has written and self-produced two successful shows that have been featured at exciting venues such as The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and The Core Theatre in Solihull.

 

Alongside her performing career, Amy is an extremely passionate Practitioner and has extensive experience in this field.  She is a UKA certified Associate in Musical Theatre and is always furthering her education with new, current and relevant courses such as Estill Voice Training, Vocal health and wellbeing. Amy is honoured to be the Principal of Legacy School Of Performing Arts and is extremely passionate about educating the stars of the future and providing exciting opportunities and memories to last a lifetime.
